HUMAN ERROR NEGLECT/MISUSE NEVER WORKED IN THE FIRST PLACE PROBABLY FIXABLE WORKED UNTIL BROKE

“i bought each in good faith – as full working order, but unfortunately they were not!”

pixma-ip1500

This one has a sad back story. A man liked his Canon Pixma IP1500 so much that when it broke he bought a secondhand version of the same model. But that didn’t work, so he bought another one. And that didn’t work either, so he bought another one. Which didn’t work. Imagine that.

So he’s now got THREE broken Canon Pixma IP1500 printers, which you can have if you pay more than £1 and live in or near Blackpool. Might be a good deal if you like revenge-smashing printers and need some more printers to revenge-smash.

HUMAN ERROR NEGLECT/MISUSE UNKNOWN INCIDENT WORKED UNTIL BROKE

"i tried to repair but broke it"

(This beauty sent in by “MiltonsStapler”, heaven only know what he was looking for in order to find this.)

“Windows had stopped working, so i tried to repair but broke it.”

Never a good sign when you manage to break hardware when trying to fix software

“The dvdrom had also stopped working, so i removed it,”

O-kaaaayyyy…I suppose if it’s broken you might as well…

“and so had to rip the keyboard off.”

…but not like that, surely?

“It does not power on, but used to, so maybe the battery is dead.
The screen is intact.”

Didn’t smash the screen to bits trying to remove the battery, then?

“Sorry no returns.”

Y’know, I’m not sure you are sorry.
The ‘successful’ bidder, who won this for £34.68 (plus p&p), now THEY might know the meaning of the word…

HIJINKS HUMAN ERROR NEGLECT/MISUSE NEVER WORKED IN THE FIRST PLACE RAGE

"I have tried to change one of the pieces by hitting it with a hammer"

play-centre-hammer

That swing looks too high as well. Did you have to make the rope “fit” with a knife? And should it be sitting over concrete slabs like that? We’re no experts in child safety, but we can imagine seeing this scene in black and white in a local newspaper, two days after some sort of head/neck/spine tragedy has unfolded.

Blame is always best apportioned through a channel she’s unlikely to read.

"Tinkering fan might be able to sort socket out."

“TAPE PLAYER IS DEAD
RADIO WORKS ONLY
AUDIO SOCKET IS SENSITIVE TO MOVEMENT”

So, unable to play cassettes and you can’t move about while you’re listening to it.
Not really much of a Walkman, is it?

“Worked fine until recently.”

One of these days we’ll find an auction that ticks ALL the category boxes.

HUMAN ERROR PROBABLY FIXABLE

"WOULD MAKE A NICE WALL ORNIMENT"

accordion-wall-covering

(a) No it wouldn’t, it’s an accordion. It’s a significantly three-dimensional object, so it’d be like sticking a cardboard box to your wall. The space beneath would be rendered void, plus you’d need good rawlplugs or to get lucky and find a bit of timber due to the weight.

(b) ORNAMENT. You managed to get accordion right but messed up ornament? Some people have the oddest brains.

"I tried cleaning it with an aquavac, but I made it worse and the fabric is now waterstained and yellow in places"

mamas-papas-butterfly-rocker

Currently at £0.99 which is pretty good value for a punchbag.

HUMAN ERROR NEGLECT/MISUSE

"As I said, apart from the 'cloud' the TV is in working order"

sharp-aquos-cloud

Obsessive-compulsive relative wore a hole in the display. Fantastic explanation of events in the listing, too:

It belongs to my father in law who kept rubbing the screen and a white cloud sort of thing has appeared on the screen. I couldn’t find the exact image of the TV, so I found a very similar TV and added in what the cloud looks like and its size and location.

Obsessive-compulsive father in law, artistic son in law. Christmas must be rather tense.
