Where lies the dividing line between “restoration” and simply building an entire thing yourself by sourcing and assembling the entirety of its components?
Could you legitimately “restore” the Titanic after buying a small bit of recovered bannister from James Cameron then building it up from there?

I’ve had computer rebuilds like that.
I wonder why whoever stripped it didn’t pinch the cranks too? Are they so heavily frozen in place that even the big hammer wouldn’t shift them?
Probably haven’t got a cotter press, and those cottered cranks are just hell to remove without one. Or a giant vice.
