"TECHNOPHONE EXCELL M2 VINTAGE RETRO MOBILE PHONE"

Fed up with TV’s yet? Thanks to “Paul h” we can have a little bit of variety.
Don’t get your hopes up too much though, it’s still tat.

“TECHNOPHONE EXCELL M2 VINTAGE RETRO MOBILE PHONE”

Hmmm, vintage, you say?
From ebay’s own forums:

Since the term has been hijacked and abused for the sole purpose of describing and hocking other non-wine related items; it’s rather meaningless and can pretty much be used the way anyone wishes to continue abusing it.

Maybe we should set up a ‘Vintage’ category?

“It is in good used condition with some wear and tear, but no major flaws.”

Barring its name only being one letter out from technophobe.

“There is no antenna or charger but has the original case”

Oh well, it’s never going to get a signal anyway, is it?

“It has not been tested as there is no charger and does not come with a guarantee.”

They never do, do they?

“The battery is built in to the phone.”

And probably weighs about the same as a car battery.
Good luck replacing that.

“This is a rare phone and is highly collectable. Approx 26years old”

Well I guess that explains the Buy it Now price then: £3,500.00
Personally, I think 3,500 pounds would be a more desirable thing to collect, but then I’m weird like that.

“History: 1 offer”

Was that from the binmen or rag and bone man?
Sorry, Waste disposal operatives.

“Technophone was bought by Nokia in 1991.”

And by no-one else since.

I chucked a couple similar to that out the other week while I was clearing my Dad’s house. If that sells I might cry.

Apparently the phone originally cost £2500; I guess they think inflating the price of an item that is discontinued and not available in retail anymore applies to everything, not just couture and event tickets.
