"GREEN LIGHT COME ON BuT THATS ALL PLUS THE LITTEL JOY STICK HAS GONE"

littel-joy-stick-gone

Not only has someone been reading all this, they’ve also been paying attention – here’s a report from reader “FridayUK”:

That broken PSP is for sale again, only this time the starting price has gone up from £25 to £45.

This increase is presumably on the grounds that it attracted zero bids in the past because it was listed at so low a price that people didn’t realise it was actually worth something.

Specifically they have failed to realise a broken version of an early generation version of a portal games console is worth about 50% of the value of a new one (which retails at £99.99).

Okay, so there is a bit missing (okay sure, it’s a joystick, but you don’t need that for some games anyway) but it comes with GTA! Okay so the copy of GTA is a bit broken, but there is no joystick anyway, so it’s not like your missing out.

I advise getting a bid in now, before it’s re-listed at a higher price.

UDPATE! The action ended, no one bid. Again. 🙁
ENTIRELY COINCIDENTALLY the ever optimistic “lovetospend.123” is now selling a “WORKING” PSP with a copy of GTA (and some other games) for £25.00. Which is curiously less than that starting bit for “FAULTY” one that just ended without any bidders.
On inspection of the listing, the picture of this “WORKING” PSP shows it is, like the “FAULTY” one, missing the “LITTEL JOY STICK”. This is noted in the listing although attempting to actually read the listing may cause your brain to haemorrhage.
Any suggestion that this is actually the the same broken PSP that has been listed (but failed to attract any bids) is – am sure – entirely unwarranted and deeply cynical.

Again, not necessarily the same one, but this one’s missing it’s joypad as well. What’s he doing, eating them?

Hmmm, just noticed this ‘one-day’ auction appears to be running until 02 Aug, 2010 – that’s another 26days and 16hours.
    Counting in Earth days anyway.
Maybe it’s actually a 1-day auction on Mercury?

BREAKING NEWS! It’s up for sale, again! It would appear the last ‘winner’ backed out. Or he’s breeding them. http://bit.ly/bfZuOO

It’s only £25 now (+P&P) – but still no bids!
What’s wrong with you people? It’s a perfectly good broken PSP for £25! You don’t see value like that often.
I blame all those lesser quality broken PSPs (also not) selling for 99p that are flooding the market:

The best one there has got to be http://bit.ly/8ZU1up – it powers on, plays games and comes with a battery AND charger!
Only let down by a broken memory card slot that makes it impossible to save games. And a broken wireless interface (seriously, how did they manage that?).
Oh yes, and it that it looks like it’s been in a war zone; specifically that it’s been strapped to a Snatch Land Rover to protect against blasts from roadside IDE’s.
Other than that, it’s “works fine”.
They are “Selling because bought a newer PSP.” – which they did presumably because this one is completely shagged.

Dammit, you shouldn’t have shown me that, I’m quite tempted now.
It’s the “Great if you want to fix and sell on” tactic, it hooks me every time. Obviously, they haven’t been able to fix it because they’re an idiot whereas I’m not, I’m perfectly capable of fixing that and haaaaaang on…if I give away good money to buy that, who’s the idiot then? Hmmmm…
And so, I generally find I’m much better off sticking my fingers in my ears and humming ‘Camptown races’ until temptation goes away again.
